Grinning Gators is our pre-swim team program at Green Valley! Our target swimmers are children ages 3-5 who can swim but need help with endurance and proper stroke technique. Our goal for Grinning Gators is for swimmers to complete a 25 freestyle swim unassisted and potentially a 25 backstroke swim unassisted, by the end of the season. Cost is $65/swimmer and you can register here.

Grinning Gators is an awesome way to get started on swim team. Young swimmers will be divided by ability and learn basics in a group setting with our coaches. This year there will be a swim test to be on regular swim team! If you are unsure which group is the best fit, sign up for the one you think and we will have swim tests on the first day it is warm enough for water practice. Credits or additional charges will be issued as needed! This year the “end of season” celebration for the swim team will include Grinning Gators to show off their skills and get to feel the whole team cheering for them just like a real meet!

Requirements for Grinning Gators:

• swimmers that are at least 3 years old
• can stand in the shallow end of the pool
• are excited to learn and can take instruction

The weeks of June 12, June 19, and June 26 Monday-Thursday 11:15-12:00* (we encourage swimmers to come every day if possible!) *times are subject to change depending on attention spans
