Covid-19 Response

Got questions about Summer 2021 related to Covid-19?

Green Valley Swim and Tennis has one of the largest deck square footage of any Guilford County outdoor pool and this allows us to accommodate restrictions and provide good access to desired pool times for our members while maintaining social distance.

We implemented many new changes to keep our members safe during the summer of 2020.

While we do not have all of the answers about what summer 2021 will look like yet, we can share what we did last summer to manage social distancing and safety at the pool (based on CDC guidelines).

  • Reduced total capacity and reduced number of chairs on deck
  • Separated chairs into 3 seat zones 6ft apart
  • Utilized an online member reservation system for the pool with 2 hrs time blocks
  • Sanitized between member reservation windows
  • One way entry & exit in the bathrooms
  • Separated order and pick up windows to Gator Grill plus plexi glass separators, text ordering and curbside pick up
  • Lifeguards, pool staff, and Gator Grill staff wore masks (unless on guard stands)
  • Limited member guest passes
  • Reduced programing that encouraged larger gatherings

Despite all the changes and restrictions 93% of our End of Summer Survey member respondents said they had a safe and enjoyable summer.

This page will be updated as new information becomes available for summer 2021.
